Indroduction: From Goes to Went

When I first entered the world of blogging, I had one goal: To chronicle my journal from a small school frat boy to a law student. With this in mind, I started my first blog, Frat Boy Goes Legal. When I started blogging, my goal was to get into a low Tier 1 law school somewhere near home. Clearly somewhere between the creation of my old blog and now (right around July 2006 to be specific) something changed and I have now clearly taken a path I never could have predicted.

Once my admissions process finished, there did not appear to be any need to continue blogging and thus, Frat Boy Goes Legal no longer seemed to have a purpose.

Now, as I prepare to begin my adventures as a law student, it seems to be an opportune time to rejoin the blogging world. Given that this blog is intended to serve, at least in some way, as a continuation of the origional site, it only seems natural that this site be called "Went Legal."

Ideally, this blog will eventually offer several viewpoints and allow readers to follow the stories of several law students, but who knows what will happen.

With any luck I will find a few other current law students that are willing to post their thoughts, observations, or random content to make this blog more interesting, but even if I don't I hope this will serve as an interesting look into a middle class Midwestern Boy's journey to law school.

I hope this blog turns out to be a success as both a way for me to vent my random thoughts and for readers to be entertained and hopefully enlightened. I don't want to promise what the subject matter will be, because honestly I don't know yet, but my guess is that it will be fairly diverse and generally related to law, law school, jobs, economics, or other related areas of my personal interest. Who knows, I may even throw in a few random thoughts that popped up on the old blog.
